An Indigenous-made cloak with the symbol of a bear paw. Made by people from the Haida, who reside in the coastal bay of British Columbia, and the island of Haida Gwaii. The bear is the protector of the animal kingdom because of its fierceness and power. In Haida culture, the bear is seen as “Elder Kinsman” and treated with respect and honour as a noble guest.
